It contains a bit of my personal journey story mixed with some serious nuggets of wisdom for all my fellow part-time entrepreneurs out there.

You know, it’s been quite the ride from my early days in network marketing to discovering my true calling in affiliate marketing, especially focusing on helping those of you squeeze your business ventures into the nooks and crannies of your already jam-packed lives.

7 Questions For Building A Side Business You Love

Let’s dive in.

I’m going to share with you some critical questions I asked myself that helped steer me back to a business I’m not just fond of but actually love.

1. Does My Business Reflect My Core Values?

In the world of entrepreneurship, especially for us juggling it part-time, aligning our business with our core values is like setting the compass for our journey.

For me, this meant ensuring that my venture not only provided value but did so in a way that was ethical, supportive, and empowering.

It's about asking, “Are the products or services I offer a true reflection of what I stand for?

This question isn't just rhetorical; it demands a deep dive into what we believe and how we want to impact the world.

2. Am I Passionate About My Offers?

Passion is what you promote is non-negotiable.

It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning, eager to tackle the day's challenges.

When I shifted my focus toward affiliate marketing, it was passion that guided me.

It’s crucial to ask yourself if you believe in what you’re selling.

If your heart's not in it, it's going to be tough to convince anyone else to care.

Your enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s what will attract people to your business and keep them coming back.

3. Is My Business Impacting My Desired Audience Positively?

This is where the rubber meets the road.

Knowing your audience and making a tangible, positive impact on their lives is the hallmark of a business that's not just surviving but thriving.

When I zeroed in on helping part-time entrepreneurs, I had to ensure that every piece of content, every product I recommended, genuinely helped them move the needle in their ventures.

It’s about creating value that changes lives, even in the smallest of ways.

4. Am I Continuously Growing and Learning?

Stagnation is the enemy of progress.

In the fast-paced world of online marketing, staying on top of trends, learning new stills, and adapting to changes is non-negotiable.

It's not just about keeping your business relevant; it's about personal growth.

Embracing a mindset of continuous learning has been a cornerstone of my journey.

It’s about asking, “What did I learn today that I didn’t know yesterday?

This mindset keeps you agile and ready to pivot whenever necessary.

5. Is There a Healthy Balance Between Work and Personal Life?

Finding balance is like walking a tightrope.

Lean too much on one side, and everything can come tumbling down.

It's easy to let your business consume every waking moment, especially when you’re passionate about it.

But neglecting your personal life, health, or relationships can lead to burnout.

Striking a balance ensures that you can run the marathon without running out of steam.

It’s about setting boundaries, knowing when to step back, and remembering to recharge.

6. Do I Look Forward to Working on My Business Each Day?

This is the joy of entrepreneurship.

Despite the challenges, setbacks, and long nights, the real question is, do you still get excited about what you're building?

Looking forward to each day’s work is a sign that you’re on the right path.

It’s about finding fulfillment in the process, not just the rewards.

7. Am I Leveraging My Strengths and Outsourcing My Weaknesses?

Nobody is a master of all trades, and recognizing where your strengths lie and where you could use some help is critical.

For me, outsourcing tasks that were outside my wheelhouse allowed me to focus on what I do best.

It’s about building a team, even if it's a virtual one, that complements your skills and helps you achieve your goals more efficiently.

For all the part-time warriors out there feeling unsure or overwhelmed, remember, it’s perfectly okay.

The key to finding your path is to keep asking yourself these questions, to reflect deeply, and to be honest with yourself about the answers.

The journey of building a side business is a marathon, not a sprint.

Keep pushing forward, keep refining your approach, and most importantly, keep believing in yourself.
