I know a lot of Part-Time entrepreneurs and have seen many who succeed and many more who struggle.
Most often, they struggle for one of 3 main reasons:
- They don't master their time.
- They wait for the perfect time to ________.
- They're listening to everyone with an opinion, rather than the people who've been through their struggles and understand how to guide them.

Here are 3 important questions to ask yourself if you're struggling in your part-time business.
1) Are you getting the most out of your time?
Most marketers who are struggling to make their part-time business work have not mastered their time.
They regularly wait for those 2-3 hour chunks of time they can devote to their business and if that time doesn't present itself, they end up doing nothing that day.
What you need to be doing is using small chunks of time, even as little as 10-15 minutes to work on your business.
Here are some examples:
- listening to trainings during your commute.
- cutting a video while sitting in your car, waiting for the kids to get out of school.
- writing an email to your list while waiting for your doctor's appointment.
- Make calls for 30 minutes during your lunch break.
Even small advances in your business will build over time and get you out of your struggles.

2) Are you putting yourself out there so others can find you?
This is all about perfectionism and how it's preventing you from building your part-time business.
I've watched countless marketing friends stay secluded behind their computers, waiting for the next task to be perfect.
The perfect video, the perfect offer, the perfect ______. Take your pick, it's not serving you.
Successful entrepreneurs get things out to the public, however imperfect, and tweak on the fly.
Bottom line: If you wait for perfection, your dream business will die.
Get things out… allow people to see your work… and fix it later!
3) Are you listening to the right people?
One of the only shortcuts I know for your Part-Time business is to find teachers who have already accomplished what you're trying to do and quite honestly just do what they say.
One of the biggest time wasters for any Part-Timer is listening to anyone with an opinion (everyone has one, sometimes even without asking!), people who've never been down the road you're trying to navigate.
If you're having trouble with getting traffic, leads, and sales from your blog, get a successful blogger to teach you.
If you don't understand the right way to prospect for your business, find a master prospector to teach you the rights and wrongs of recruiting.
And if you're having trouble with the whole “part-time thing”, then you should listen to someone like me who's on the path and having success.
Don't listen to just anyone…
Take the time to find the right teachers and you're almost guaranteed to get out of your struggles.
Finally, keep in mind that struggling in your business is 100% normal, whether you're part-time or full-time.
It's how you RESPOND to those struggles that will determine the ultimate success or failure of your Part Time business.
