sweet spotThe sweet spot.

In baseball, it's that small area on the barrel of the bat…

The area that, when the ball strikes it, it literally JUMPS off the bat,

And is usually deposited into the bleacher seats for a HOME RUN.

It's the perfect spot for a hitter.

So, is there a “sweet spot” in your home business?

You bet there is.

It's the perfect blend between meeting people and leveraging technology that results in your leads and sales EXPLODING without much effort.

You know you've hit the sweet spot when your business is FUN, incredibly profitable and seems to run almost on autopilot.

Not there yet?

Don't worry, I'll help you out.

Is Your Home Business in Balance?

What about it?

Do you have a balance of meeting people and leveraging technology in your business?

It's pretty easy to figure out…

If you spend the  majority of time on one or the other, you're not in balance.

Scenario 1:  You're a People Person!

I've met lots of these folks in MLM.  They love people and want to help the world.

Admirable.

They spend their time meeting new people during their travels out in the world — at the bank, in the grocery store, in the laundromat.

They spend hours on the phone talking to people about their business, one long discussion at a time.

They meet people in coffee shops to give them a presentation of their business model.

These folks have no time to learn about technology or leveraging the Internet… they're too busy running after their next prospect.

They do well… mostly.

The get some sign ups, they make some money.

But it lacks LEVERAGE and is mostly non-duplicatable.

Scenario 2:  You're an Introverted, Shy Computer Geek

This is the opposite of the People Person.

This shy, introverted individual has decided to build their business without talking to people.

In fact, talking to people freaks them out.

What if someone disapproves or rejects them?

So, they decide to learn internet marketing and build their business online.

  • They learn about blogging and spend hours upon hours making their blog perfect.
  • They jump on Facebook and worry about their covers, their pictures and their application tabs.
  • They send out Twitter messages with links to their business opportunity.

But they never pick up the phone and actually get to know people.

They never jump on Skype and show a personal interest in their “lead”.

They're all about numbers — number of impressions, number of clicks, number of conversions.

They will do well, they'll make some money.

But they, too will never hit the sweet spot in their business.

In case you're wondering, this was the camp I was firmly entrenched in for years, until I came to understand the importance of the first part of the success puzzle.

I guess you know where I'm going with this.

To find the sweet spot in your home business, you need BOTH…

You need to meet people and converse with them and find out what they truly need and want.

AND you need to leverage technology to generate the leads and prospects so you can sift through and find the PEOPLE that will become part of your team.

  • The MEETING OF PEOPLE part of your business makes it real and personal.
  • The TECHNOLOGY part of your business helps you scale it and EXPLODE your results.

It's a DELICATE BALANCE.

Too much of either will stifle your business and lessen your results.

But when working together in perfect harmony…

You've found YOUR SWEET SPOT.

So what about time?

      Great Article Bob!
It is true you need some of both these characteristics. The biggest difference in your business comes when you learn how to implement them both and have your main goal as how you can help other’s the best, not what you can sell them. Thanks for sharing! Penny
